Let's catch your first email with MailCade.

#Point your app to MailCade

Tell your app to send emails to localhost:1025. No authentication needed.

Here's how to do it in a few frameworks:

#Laravel

In your .env file:

MAIL_HOST=localhost
MAIL_PORT=1025
MAIL_USERNAME=null
MAIL_PASSWORD=null
MAIL_ENCRYPTION=null

#Node.js

With Nodemailer:

const transporter = nodemailer.createTransport({
  host: 'localhost',
  port: 1025
});

#Python

import smtplib
 
server = smtplib.SMTP('localhost', 1025)
server.sendmail('[email protected]', '[email protected]', 'Hello!')
server.quit()

#Rails

config.action_mailer.smtp_settings = {
  address: 'localhost',
  port: 1025
}

#Send a test email

Now trigger an email from your app. Could be a registration email, password reset, whatever.

Or if you just want to see it work, use curl:

  --mail-from [email protected] \
  --mail-rcpt [email protected] \

Subject: Testing MailCade
 
If you see this, it works!
